Located in Sydney’s Blues Point, the project was born out of a desire to improve the connectivity between living zones in both a physical and visual sense.  This allows for the apartment to serve multiple facets, providing a place of work, a place to entertain and a place of sanctuary, in one. A contemporary and layered approach sees custom joinery, openings and curated artwork, furniture and objects all add richness, texture and meaning to each of the spaces.

Moodboard

Designed to deliberate between the two floors, upon entry visitors are greeted with the feature stair in a large and expansive floor-to-ceiling glazed entry hall. This gesture of light and space marks the connecting point between the two floors (level 45 and 46). Wrapped in a hard plaster, the softness and tactility of this hero gesture sets the tone for the palette and materiality throughout. Objects and furniture with personality add depth to the pale timber floors and joinery and white painted surfaces.

Carefully considered openings and light wells have been injected strategically throughout to further increase the connection between inside and outside, and to reinforce the connection to the site.
